Admission Process
Admissions to NIE's engineering programs are offered through multiple entry channels. Follow the steps below based on your chosen admission path:
Apply online for CET through the KEA website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
Download the Information Bulletin from the same website.
Follow the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin and on the KEA website.
Non-compliance with the instructions will lead to disqualification.
Go to www.comedk.org to access the official portal and stay updated with announcements.
Carefully read the brochure to understand rules, eligibility, and exam process.
Fill out the application form online through the COMED-K portal. Follow instructions strictly.
Take the COMED-K exam on the scheduled date to qualify for engineering/medical admissions.
Visit www.nie.ac.in and submit the Management Quota application.
Counsellor verifies documents and discusses the process. After parent and Principal approval, payment details are shared.
Submit SSLC & PUC marks cards (Original documents), a signed undertaking letter by both parent & student with their photograph, and payment proof.
Get temporary seat confirmation via email after payment.

Eligibility Criteria
NIE is affiliated with VTU for its B.E. courses and follows Government of Karnataka and AICTE guidelines for admissions. Candidates must qualify CET/COMEDK/JEE and meet eligibility criteria. Management quota seats are also available.
Engineering/ Technology Courses(B.E/B.Tech)
Eligibility: 45% in 12th with Physics, Maths & one of Chem/Bio/Biotech/CS/ Electronics + English.
(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

SSLC/10th standard - You should have obtained minimum 60% marks in Mathematics and Science separately.
11th and 12th Standard - You should have obtained minimum 60% marks in mathematics and Physics seperately.
Students should have compulsorily appeared and obtained a rank in KEA / COMEDK /JEE Mains
