Society of Automotive Engineers Collegiate Chapter in National Institute Of Engineering was established in the year 2002. It is a forum for budding engineers to hone and exhibit their technical skills. It also encourages creativity and innovation.

SAE@NIE had organized “CAR & BIKE EXPO 2007” on 3rd and 4th of November 2007 at Golden Jubilee Complex of NIE. The expo showcased various automobiles (two wheelers and four wheelers), new technologies and imparted basic knowledge on automobiles to more than 10000 people.

Adding to the attraction was a thrilling stunt show by Team 82. The members of Team 82 Mr.Tanvir, Mr. Nishanth, Mr. Benedic, Mr. Ali and Mr. Fazil pumped people energy levels with their death defying stunts for around an hour on 4th November.
