A SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES DURING 2005-06

• Industrial visit of Civil Engineering students on 7th May 2005 and E&E Engineering students on 24th May 2005.
• A half day workshop on "Challenges of starting an own enterprise", on 2nd April 2005 for the pre-final and Final year students of the Institute. About 100 students participated in the workshop.
• One day workshop on "Building fuel efficient wood stoves (Astra Vale)", on 14-17th April 2005 for rural entrepreneurs. Totally 10 entrepreneurs and 4 students participated in the workshop.
• Three day training programme on "Laser Technology" during 6-8th May 2005 for the students of the Institute at the Govt. Tool Room & Training Centre, Mysore. 40 students participated in the training programme.
• Three day training programme on "Laser Technology" ( batch two) during 28-29th of May 2005 for the students of the Institute at the Govt. Tool Room & Training Centre, Mysore. 40 students participated in the training programme.
• Three day training on "Industrial Hydraulics and Pneumatics", 29-31st August 2005 at MICO, Bangalore. The participants were the teaching faculty from various engineering colleges in the State. The programme was co-sponsored by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and Bosch Rexroth (India) Ltd, Ahmedabad. Totally 40 participants took part in the training programme and were awarded certificates.
• Three day workshop on 'CNC Machine Tools' in the auspices of TEQIP at the Govt. Tool Room and Training Centre' (GTTC), Mysore. The 35 participants in the programme organized from 16th to 18th March, 2006, were the teaching faculty from various Engineering Colleges in Karnataka.
