The National Institute of Engineering has a highly active and growing community of over thousands of alumni, living in over 50 countries. We are immensely proud of a large number of graduates and friends from all around the world and feel privileged that their support and generosity has been helping the college achieve its ambition as an international centre of learning and research.
NIEAA is serving as forum to promote and foster good relationship between alumni, present students, management and teaching faculty. It has over 2000 members settled in various parts of India and abroad . NIEAA organizes endowment lectures, seminars and workshops. It has also established endowment prize awards to the meritorious students. The association has set up a healthy tradition of identifying a distinguished alumnus every year who will be honoured, with a citation.
Padmasri N.R.Narayana Murthy, Chairman of Infosys , Mr.Srinath Batni ,Former Board Member Infosys & Director, Padmasri E.A.S.Prasanna, International cricketer, Mr. Kumar Malavalli, Chairman of BrocadeCommunications in US, Dr. C.S.Vishvanatha, Former Chief Consultant of Torsteel Research Foundation, and Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, Peetadhipati of Adichunchangiri Mahasamsthana Math are some of the distinguished alumni of NIE.
Together we are further improving the NIE experience for our students today and tomorrow through new scholarships, state-of-the-art buildings, facilities, sports equipment and many more.
NIEAA is serving as forum to promote and foster good relationship between alumni, present students, Management and teaching faculty. This provides a forum to interact with each other and promote academic, Research and Development activities, organize endowment lectures by distinguished alumni and other professionals, Seminars and Workshops and thus try to expose the students to the state of art technologies in each discipline of engineering. It has also established endowment prize awards to meritorious students of the Institution. Attempts are made to identify Area Coordinators in different zones of our country and abroad so that they can work more effectively to coordinate and interact with alumni.
The association has set up a healthy tradition of identifying a distinguished alumnus and invites him or her for a special function every year where he/she is honored, felicitated and presented with a citation during the farewell function for outgoing students.
